Arrested perpetrator who used fake bomb to rob more than 1 billion VND at bank transaction office
Continuously for more than 2 days and nights of urgent investigation and pursuit, the police forces of Bac Giang province have achieved an outstanding feat, clarifying and arresting the subject who caused the robbery of more than 1.1 billion VND at a transaction office of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province.
As reported, at around 3:00 p.m. on January 26, a young man rode a motorbike to the Dinh Ke transaction office of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Bac Giang II branch, using a gun and a sealed box to threaten bank employees to give him money from the safe.

The suspect then fled on a motorbike with more than 1 billion VND. During the investigation, authorities determined that the suspect had used a fake bomb to threaten bank employees.
By combining professional investigation measures and launching a movement for people to denounce criminals, at noon on January 27, the Investigation Police Department rounded up and summoned two suspects, the couple Nguyen Duc Minh (born in 1983) and Hoang Thi Van Anh (born in 1985), both from Bac Giang and currently renting a house in Tho Xuong ward, Bac Giang city.
During the search of Minh's residence, the police found a number of items that matched the tape on the mine.
Continuing the investigation until 10am on January 28, Minh confessed to all his crimes. The police seized a total of VND880 million which the suspects divided into many places and hid. During the extended search, the police seized the pellet gun that the suspects used to commit the crime.
