On June 20, the Criminal Investigation Department (PC52) of Dong Nai Province Police announced that it had arrested Hoang Van Yen and Hoang Van Phuc (both 38 years old, residing in Thanh Long Commune, Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province) to investigate the act of illegal drug trafficking and possession. Yen is currently wanted by Nghe An Province Police for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, on June 17, detectives from Dinh Quan District Police (Dong Nai) discovered Hoang Van Yen hiding at the house of his brother Hoang Van Hien (40 years old, residing in Hamlet 3, Phu Ngoc Commune, Dinh Quan District). Immediately, Dinh Quan District Police coordinated with PC52 of Dong Nai Province Police to mobilize forces to surround Hoang Van Hien's house to arrest Yen.
After a day of hiding, on the afternoon of June 18, the police force suddenly raided and arrested him. Faced with the unexpected appearance of the police force, Yen jumped up, quickly grabbed the pistol hidden at the head of the bed, and ran to the back of the house. However, Yen was caught. Phuc was also arrested.
During an emergency on-site search of the suspects, the police seized 9 heroin cakes, 8 bags of methamphetamine weighing 8kg, 1 gun with 5 bullets, 3 cell phones, and more than 6 million VND in cash...
Evidence of the case
According to Yen's statement, he often went to Laos to get heroin cakes, brought them back to Vinh City (Nghe An), divided them into small portions for consumption at close dealers, and transported them to the southern provinces to sell for profit. Yen bought each heroin cake for 5,000 USD, and "crystal" drugs cost 8,000 USD/kg.
After selling 1 heroin cake in Vinh City and being closely pursued by the police, Yen took the remaining drugs and ran away to his brother's house in Dinh Quan district to hide and find a buyer.
According to Nghe An Police, Yen is a subject wanted by Vinh City Police for drug trafficking. Initially, Yen confessed that he often went to Laos to buy heroin and crystal meth to sell in the provinces. The crystal meth and heroin that the police just seized were also brought from Laos and Yen sold 2 cakes in Vinh City.
Currently, the Drug Crime Prevention Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) has coordinated with local police to clarify these drug lines./.
