Caught transporting nearly 2 tons of MSG without documents and fake laundry detergent
(Baonghean) - On November 13, Major Nguyen Van Duong - Captain of the Railway Traffic Police Team of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police said that the incident took place at 6:00 p.m. on November 11, 2014.
Accordingly, after receiving information from the people about a truck carrying MSG with unclear signs, Major Nguyen Van Duong and 4 officers in the team personally intercepted it in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An to make an arrest.
At 4 p.m., the truck with license plate 43C-007.22 driven by Nguyen The Nhan (born in 1991, residing in Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Khe, Da Nang City) was stopped by the police force at km418 of National Highway 1A. Upon inspection, the police team discovered that the truck was carrying 89 sacks of MSG (70kg/sack) weighing 1,780kg, manufactured abroad.

Upon inspection, the truck driver was unable to present valid documents (goods number). It is known that the MSG was transported by driver Nhan from Da Nang to Thai Binh for sale when he was arrested.
"After checking that there were no valid documents, we made a record and handed over the initial file to the authorities to investigate and handle according to regulations," said Major Duong.
*Previously, at 9:00 a.m. on November 12, Team 3 of the Environmental Police Department and Hung Nguyen District Police caught a passenger bus with license plate number 37B - 005.35 transporting 600 fake OMO packages, 400g/package, with a total weight of 240kg.
The bus driver was identified as Nguyen Van Phuc (born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 5, Quynh Luong Commune, Quynh Luu, Nghe An). Upon inspection, the driver and the owner of the goods could not present invoices, documents, or evidence proving the origin of the above shipment.
Currently, the owner of the shipment and the evidence have been handed over to the relevant authorities for handling.
