Caught transporting pigs from Ha Nam to Nghe An without sealing tape
(Baonghean.vn) - All 35 pigs weighing 2.8 tons without seals brought from Ha Nam to Nghe An for consumption were seized by authorities.
At 3:00 p.m. on March 26, on National Highway 7A through Dien Phuc commune, Dien Chau Traffic Police discovered and arrested a pickup truck with license plate 90C-02942 driven by Mr. Tran Van An, born in 1973, residing in Vinh Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district).
The vehicle was carrying 35 pigs weighing 2.8 tons. The driver presented quarantine papers but the vehicle seal had been removed.
Therefore, Dien Chau Traffic Police Team handed over the above pigs to the Veterinary Station for re-quarantine and administrative handling according to the provisions of law.
The driver said the pigs were brought from Ha Nam province to Do Luong for consumption.
