Bus carrying 300kg of smelly animal products caught

(Baonghean.vn) - The Economic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police has just discovered and seized a large quantity of chickens, ducks, cow hooves, cow tails, and cow tongues of unknown origin transported on a sleeper bus of Chin Nghia company.

The goods hidden in the cargo hold were smelly and had no valid documents.

At around 7:30 p.m. on June 15, on National Highway 1A through Dien An Commune, Dien Chau District, Team 5 - Economic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with Dien Chau Traffic Police Station to inspect passenger bus with license plate 76B-002.88 running on the Hanoi - Quang Ngai route.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that in the cargo compartment of the passenger bus there were 2,000 chickens, ducks and 300 kg of cow hooves, cow tongues and cow tails, all without valid quarantine documents. Driver Cao Tan Toan, residing in Duc Pho, Quang Ngai, said that the above goods were sent by a person in Ha Nam province, and delivered to recipients in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Ngai provinces.

The Economic Police Department has drawn up a record and completed the handover procedures to the Vinh City Veterinary Department for handling according to the provisions of law.
