Truck carrying large quantity of Chinese fish caught

When checking a car that violated traffic laws, the working group discovered that the car's body had water dripping onto the road and gave off a strange fishy smell.

Captain Nguyen Trong Dong, Head of the Traffic Control Patrol Team, Traffic Police Team No. 4, Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, said that at around 11:00 a.m. today (April 17), the Traffic Control Patrol Team, Traffic Police Team No. 4 on duty on Nguyen Khoi Street discovered a truck with license plate 14M-4547 violating the initial act of turning around on the pedestrian crossing.

The task force signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection. The driver could not present his driver's license or vehicle registration. During the inspection, the task force found that the vehicle's trunk was leaking water onto the road and had a strange fishy smell, so they asked the driver to open the trunk to continue the inspection.

The results of the discovery in the truck contained many styrofoam boxes carrying refrigerated grass carp that gave off a foul odor. The working group took the driver and the vehicle to the headquarters of Traffic Police Team No. 4 to proceed with making a record.

At the headquarters of Traffic Police Team No. 4, the driver declared himself Nguyen Van Tuyen (born in 1988) from Mao Khe, Dong Trieu, Quang Ninh. Driver Tuyen said that the above boxes of grass carp were hired by the owner to be transported from Quang Ninh province to Hanoi. The owner held the driver's license and car registration, Tuyen was only a hired driver.

At the scene, the boxes were packed tightly with grass carp, all large fish, weighing over 5kg each. These fish smelled fishy and foul because they were no longer fresh.

Senior Lieutenant Le Van Tien, Deputy Head of Traffic Police Team No. 4, informed the market management force of Hai Ba Trung District (Hanoi) to coordinate in checking and determining the quantity and origin of the above grass carp.

According to Hanoi Moi
