On the afternoon of April 10, the Nghi Loc District Police Department announced that the unit is temporarily detaining Duong Quoc Chien (born 1984), residing in Hamlet 4, Hung Linh Commune, Hung Nguyen District, to investigate and clarify the act of rape.

On April 6, Nghi Loc District Police received a complaint from Ms. HTL, 21 years old, residing in a commune of Nghi Loc District, bordering Hung Nguyen District, stating that at around 1:30 p.m. on April 5, Ms. L was riding a motorbike on Vinh bypass. When passing through Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District, a young man riding a motorbike from behind suddenly rushed up, pushed her to the side of the road, threatened her and demanded sex.
Because the road was deserted, Ms. L was afraid and was forced to agree to follow the young man to a field 300m away from the road so that he could commit a depraved act. After having sex, the subject took Ms. L's phone number and continued to threaten her, demanding that she let him have sex with her next time, otherwise, he would make public Ms. L's private life.
After receiving the report, Nghi Loc District Police conducted an investigation to clarify the case. Using professional measures, after 24 hours of solving the case, the investigation agency clarified that Duong Quoc Chien was the subject who raped Ms. L.
At the investigation agency, the suspect Chien confessed that due to alcohol in his body, he committed the above crime. Currently, the case is under further investigation.
