The Vinh City Police Investigation Agency has initiated a case, prosecuted and detained Nguyen Dinh Dong (37 years old), residing in Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Chuong district, for the crime of "Rape".

The incident happened earlier, at around 10:45 p.m. on January 5. At that time, Nguyen Dinh Dong was driving a motorbike on Nguyen Sy Sach Street (in Khanh Hau hamlet, Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city) and crashed into a woman's motorbike. When the victim fell onto the road, Dong immediately restrained her and dragged her to a nearby cemetery to commit the depraved act.

At that time, Captain Nguyen Son Ha was passing by to take his wife to the hospital. Here, Mr. Ha discovered two motorbikes had fallen onto the road. Suspecting something was wrong, Mr. Ha stopped his motorbike and looked around but saw no one. Next, he used his headlights to scan the area around him and discovered a shadow in the cemetery area about 3 meters from the road. Approaching, Mr. Ha discovered a man sitting on top of a woman. At that time, the man had one hand on the woman's neck and was trying to commit an indecent act.

Seeing someone approaching, the suspect got up, pulled up his pants and ran back to the motorbike on the road with the intention of escaping but was controlled by Captain Ha and passersby. Hung Hoa Commune Police received the report and were present, coordinating to arrest the suspect.

At the investigation agency, Nguyen Dinh Dong confessed that after hitting the motorbike, causing the girl to fall onto the street, he then restrained and dragged the victim into the cemetery. When the victim fiercely resisted, he punched her in the face and choked her with the intention of committing a depraved act, but was discovered by passersby, so he ran away and was arrested.
