Vote for Ha Long until the last minute
* Voting results will be available after 2am on November 12
One day before the announcement of the new seven natural wonders of the world, tens of thousands of students across the country rushed to vote for Ha Long Bay to become one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.
At exactly 9pm on November 10, the drums were sounded, 3,000 students and members of the program "I choose Ha Long Bay" simultaneously used their phones to text Halong to 147 at the Ly Thai To monument (Hanoi). Speaking at the program, Mr. Ho Quang Loi (head of the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee) emphasized: "We must take timely action to bring pride to the country. That action is to vote for Ha Long Bay to become one of the seven new natural wonders of the world. From now until 6pm tomorrow, everyone should vote once, do not miss this precious opportunity".
On November 9 and 10, more than 2,000 young people participated in the campaign "Vote for Ha Long Bay" (a program organized by the Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology and Robo Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company).
In the general atmosphere of the whole country, in the evening of the same day, tens of thousands of students and staff of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City National University participated in voting for Ha Long Bay via computers and text messages.
Previously, the Central Youth Union established a youth volunteer team to vote for Ha Long Bay, including union members, youth volunteers, clubs, volunteer teams... gathered at the information technology practice room, youth job introduction center to continuously vote for Ha Long Bay on the official website of the New7wonders Organization.
At the Central Youth Union headquarters on the morning of November 10, hundreds of young people, cadres and employees of agencies and units under the Central Youth Union participated in the festival "Youth of Central Youth Union agencies vote for Ha Long Bay to become a new natural wonder of the world". In the afternoon of the same day, hundreds of union members and young people of the Central Youth Union of Enterprises simultaneously voted for Ha Long Bay.
* According to Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang - Director of the Center for Promotion of Culture - Sports and Tourism (Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism), deputy head of the permanent department of the Ha Long Bay election, it is expected that after 2am on November 12, the final results of the vote will be available. The NewOpenWorld organization will end the vote counting at 11am on November 11, 2011 GMT (6pm on the same day, Vietnam time) and this organization needs at least eight more hours to count the votes.
