US Election 2016: Ted Cruz wins in Kansas

(Baonghean.vn) - Texas Senator Ted Cruz won the Republican caucus in Kansas in the latest round of the 2016 US Presidential election.

According to the voting results, Texas Senator Cruz won 48%, far ahead of billionaire Donald Trump in second place with nearly 23%. These two figures also held the leading positions in Maine and Kentucky respectively.

Republicans are currently holding caucuses or primaries in four states, while Democrats are holding three. Overall, Trump remains the Republican front-runner; on the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the front-runner.

As well as the Republican caucuses in Kansas, Maine and Kentucky, a primary is underway in Louisiana. The Democrats are also holding caucuses in Kansas and Nebraska, as well as primary elections in Louisiana.
