Ukrainian President Piotr Poroshenko called on his supporters to try to attract at least three voters of his opponent Vladimir Zelensky, and accompany them to the polling station, as doing just that would be enough to win.

“I appeal to each of you and suggest that on April 21 each of you take part in the elections and that you must bring your relatives or friends with you. Convince at least three people to support Zelensky and other candidates, bring them to the polling station. This is absolutely enough for our victory,” Poroshenko said at a rally on Independence Square on Friday.

In his words, "to fulfill the functions of the President, one must be strong and competent, responsible and open."

“Finally, we need a person who is self-sufficient and independent, not dependent on Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky or anyone else,” Poroshenko added.

Poroshenko had previously called his rival, presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky, a "puppet" of Kolomoisky. Zelensky's campaign staff demanded an apology from the Ukrainian President for his insulting remarks.
