Mr. Duc was condemned at the V-League 2015 closing ceremony
The owner of the HAGL football team is one of the most criticized figures, mainly because of recent statements made during the 2015 season summary meeting held in Hanoi today, September 28.
"Before the season, Mr. Duc announced that HAGL only spent 15 billion VND to play in V-League 2015. This statement caused us difficulties when working with the province and sponsors. The province reduced the amount spent on the team with the reason that Mr. Duc's team only had to spend less. Did Mr. Duc really only spend 15 billion? How much did it cost him to sign six foreign players?", Mr. Nguyen Hup, CEO of Quang Nam, questioned.
Director of Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company Nguyen Hong Thanh also shared this suspicion when he said that each season, a poor team like his team also spends at least 30 billion VND. Meanwhile, the VFF's regulation is that each team participating in V-League must have a minimum of 35 billion VND.

Mr. Hup then expressed his indignation at another statement by Mr. Duc: "When bringing the young players to play in the V-League, Mr. Duc said that he was afraid that his players would play skillfully, and if they met senior players from other teams who went to nightclubs, drank a lot, and were not strong enough, they would play badly and cut corners. I would like to ask him if he had any evidence that players from other teams were partying like that? As the leader of VFF and VPF, Mr. Duc's statement is unacceptable."
Besides Quang Nam, Hai Phong also expressed their indignation with VPF leaders. Chairman Tran Manh Hung said: "There are VPF leaders, sitting in the sponsorship mobilization committee, receiving 500 million - 600 million VND per year but doing nothing, not even finding a single contract for the tournament. Is that acceptable?"
Mr. Hung also said that VPF and the V-League 2015 Organizing Committee are avoiding responsibility. Typically, they have not had an official answer for fans and teams about matches suspected of having “bad odors” such as the match between Hai Phong and Can Tho, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Song Lam Nghe An...
Coach Huynh Duc of Da Nang Club was not satisfied when the tournament organizers repeatedly announced that "the coach's statements affect VPF". The former Vietnamese player said that when the referee blows the wrong whistle or the opposing team plays dirty, the coaches need to speak up.
