(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc said he would follow the majority on how to proceed with the rest of the V-League 2021. However, Mr. Duc strongly reacted to the fact that VPF made the decision without consulting the clubs.

Mr. Duc could not sit still after VPF proposed to postpone LS V-League to 2022. According to the head of HAGL Club, VPF does not represent any club, nor does it have the role of governing football. The 14 professional clubs participating in V-League are the representatives of the entire football industry. Therefore, the fact that VPF did not consult the teams when proposing to postpone V-League shows a lack of respect.

“I think that is just the personal opinion of a few people running this organization, while they do not have the right to judge for the whole football industry. VPF underestimates the 14 V-League clubs,” Mr. Duc emphasized.

In fact, at the same time Mr. Duc made the above indignant statements, VPF also sent out a survey to get opinions from clubs about postponing the V-League to 2022.

VPF requires football teams to send feedback before noon on July 23, then the opinions will be compiled and reported to the VFF Executive Committee, before making a final decision.

Meanwhile, VPF Chairman Tran Anh Tu explained: "First, the VPF Board of Directors met to come up with a plan, then we sent that plan in writing to each club. The clubs gave their opinions to reach a consensus, then we gathered them together to send to the VFF before submitting it to the Executive Committee."

VPF followed an unreasonable process, because the company's Board of Directors approved the plan to postpone the V-League to 2022 and then asked for the opinions of the clubs, which made the clubs unhappy. Everyone questioned the role and interests of the clubs in their own game.

According to research, after VPF sent out a survey to get opinions from clubs, the majority of teams did not agree with the plan to postpone V-League for 6-7 months.

However, everything is at a standstill regarding the return of the V-League, to the point that the representative of Hai Phong Club has proposed a plan to organize a "final" match between HAGL and Viettel, or to award the championship trophy to HAGL because the tournament has gone 2/3 of the way.

Of course, Mr. Duc did not agree with this proposal, because the possibility of winning the championship was only 50-50, but the important thing is that HAGL did not want to win the championship in such an unsightly scenario. The team from the mountain town is confident in its ability to win the championship this season.

Mr. Duc affirmed that HAGL never thinks about personal interests, and on the contrary, VFF, VPF and the football teams must also think about the common good, sit down together to find the most suitable solution.

Sharing the same view as Mr. Duc, representatives of the football teams all said that the interests of the clubs and the tasks of the national team need to be ensured in a harmonious way. The teams still have to support their players, the amount of money could be up to tens of billions of VND if the V-League is postponed to next year.

Meanwhile, according to Hai Phong Club Chairman Van Tran Hoan, is there any guarantee that V-League can return by February 2022 when the Covid-19 epidemic is complicated?

In general, VPF and the 14 teams all have their own difficulties and reasons, and it is not easy for everyone to find common ground at this time. However, the reality is that the fate of the V-League is at a “red alert” level, when one or several teams are at risk of disbanding if the tournament continues to be postponed indefinitely.
