Provincial People's Committee for National Security Protection deploys tasks for 2012

(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, January 10, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the movement for the entire people to protect national security and order in Nghe An province held a conference to summarize the work of coordinating and directing the building of the movement for the entire people to protect national security and order in 2011; and to deploy tasks for 2012. ComradeMr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference.

During the past year, the Movement Steering Committee promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to issue 5 major work plans, establish 4 inspection teams for the work of building the movement for the entire people to protect national security and order in 16 units and localities. Advised the Provincial People's Committee to organize a conference to summarize the work of national defense and order in 2010. Organized 2 major thematic conferences, launched 5 campaigns to mobilize the masses to participate in attacking and suppressing criminals, protecting safety on major holidays; directed the implementation of Plan No. 50/KH-BCĐ dated October 18, 2011 on "Self-inspection and inspection of the results of building the movement for the entire people to protect national security and order in 2011".

Conference Overview

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated to organize 7,925 propaganda sessions, disseminate Party documents and State laws to more than 553,000 people, reported on mass media systems nearly 100,000 times, drew 9,354 slogans, printed and distributed over 5,700 documents. The Provincial Police launched 5 campaigns to mobilize people to attack and sweep away criminals, prosecuted 1,767 cases, investigated 2,529 defendants, seized 2,006 homemade hunting guns, many military guns and pepper sprays. Opened 5 training courses for 383 commune police chiefs and deputy chiefs, 3 courses for 3,914 police officers...

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized the importance of the mass movement to protect national security. He requested the Steering Committee to announce the conclusion and evaluation of the work done in 2011, the action plan for 2012, and to have a specific plan to reorganize the Steering Committee to deploy to the grassroots in a timely manner.

In the past time, 316 comrades were awarded the "Protecting National Security" medal; 8 collectives were awarded the "Excellent Emulation" flag by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee; 198 collectives and 82 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Public Security Director. Regularly strengthen the solidarity and coordination between the Public Security and the army; the Fatherland Front, sectors and organizations in the work of protecting national security and order and building a movement for the whole people to protect national security and order.
