Nghe An Border Guard Command: Donated 150 million VND to the program "Tet for the poor" 2016

(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the appeal letter of the Provincial Party Secretary to support the poor on Tet Binh Than 2016, on the afternoon of January 16, 2016, the Provincial Border Guard Command organized a fundraising campaign with a total budget of 150 million to support the program "Tet for the poor - Binh Than 2016".

Specifically, Nghe An Border Guard organized a campaign to call on each salaried person to donate half a day's salary; non-commissioned officers and soldiers to donate 10,000 VND each. After a short time, the unit's officers and soldiers raised 150 million VND to support and help poor people celebrate the Lunar New Year 2016. With the above funds, the Provincial Border Guard will buy 280 gifts for poor households in 3 communes: Bac Ly, Ky Son district; Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district and Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district during the Lunar New Year 2016.

Previously, at the end of 2015, Nghe An Border Guard also donated 250 million VND to support house building, house repair, and purchase of plant and animal varieties to help poor households in the three communes of Bac Ly, Tam Hop and Mon Son develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty./.
