Nghe An Border Guard won second prize at the Border Guard Command Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of August 24, at the Border Guard Training Center (Tam Duong, Vinh Phuc province), the Border Guard Command held the Closing Ceremony of the 2013 Region 1 Sports Festival. Major General Tran Dinh Dung - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard presided over the ceremony.
The sports festival took place from August 20 to 24, with athletes competing enthusiastically in the following events: Strong Soldier; 4 combined military sports for officers; 4 combined military sports for professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers; K91 obstacle course; 10,000m cross-country run; K54 pistol shooting lesson 1, AK submachine gun shooting (3x10); AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1 and advanced lesson 5; military application swimming...
Participating in the 2013 Regional Sports Festival of the Border Guard Region 1 were 26 delegations, with more than 650 coaches and athletes from units and schools under the Border Guard Command and the Border Guard Commands of the northern provinces and cities from Ha Giang to Quang Ngai. As a result, the first prize for the whole delegation belonged to the athletes of the Border Guard of Quang Ninh; the second prize belonged to the athletes of the Border Guard of Nghe An and the third prize belonged to the athletes of the Border Guard of Lang Son.

In addition, the Nghe An Border Guard athletes also won individual awards: Athlete Bui Cong Ha won second prize in 4 combined military sports for officers; Athlete Lo Van Thanh won second prize in 4 combined military sports for professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers; Athlete Le Huy Hung won first prize, Athlete Le Dinh Quang won second prize in K91 obstacle course; Athlete Lu Van Thanh won third prize in AK shooting (3x10).
