Nghe An Border Guard won second prize in the Good Command Competition and Martial Arts Competition.

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 17, at the Border Guard Academy (Son Tay - Hanoi), the Border Guard Command held the Closing Ceremony of the Competition for Excellent Command Training Officers and the 2014 Border Guard Region I Martial Arts Competition after 4 days of competition (from October 14 to 17). Attending were Major General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard.

The organizing committee awarded first, second and third prizes to the entire team.

Participating in the Competition and Sports Festival were 250 officers and athletes from 25 units of provinces and cities in the Northern region (from Quang Nam and above).

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the organization and implementation of this year's Competition and Sports Festival were carried out strictly, seriously, and in accordance with the protocol. The scale of the organization and content of the competition program were consistent with the training program of the Border Guard and achieved the set goals and requirements. During the competition and sports festival, the delegations maintained management, strictly followed the discipline and regulations of the Organizing Committee and the Jury. The referees worked seriously with a high sense of responsibility, organized and implemented the content and programs in a rhythmic and tight manner, evaluated the competition results and achievements objectively and fairly, grasped and promptly resolved any problems that arose during the competition and sports festival.

At the end of the competition, the Border Guard Academy team took the top spot, the second prize went to the Nghe An Border Guard team, and the third prize went to the Quang Ninh Border Guard team. In addition, the Nghe An Border Guard also won the second prize for martial arts techniques and the third prize for martial arts tactics in the Martial Arts Sports Festival.
