Nghe An Border Guard won the A prize of the Northern region cultural propaganda festival

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 29, in Quang Ninh province, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 8th Festival of Cultural Propaganda Teams on the border and coast in 2013, Northern region took place.

This is the result of the joint program "Promoting and improving the quality of cultural and information activities on the border and coast" between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Border Guard Command. Attending the closing ceremony were Major General Le Thai Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard, and representatives of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Department of Ethnic Culture - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The performance "Peace on the Border" by the Cultural Propaganda Team - Nghe An Border Guard was awarded the Gold Medal.

Participating in this festival were 412 cadres, actors and actresses, propagandists, and collaborators from 15 TTVH teams from provinces, cities, and Border Guard units in the Northern region. The teams brought to the festival the most outstanding performances, with the typical sounds and colors of each region; with many rich genres such as singing, dancing, information drama, Cheo, Chau Van singing, Nghe Tinh folk songs, etc.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Festival, Major General Le Thai Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard affirmed: This Festival of the Cultural and Information Teams of the Border Guard units in the Northern region is an opportunity for us to look back and evaluate the cultural movement at the grassroots level in 20 years of coordination between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Border Guard Command. Through this, we can draw many useful experiences for the cultural and information activities of the provinces, cities and Border Guard units, thereby continuing to promote the coordination program in the following years.

The Organizing Committee of the Festival awarded Gold and Silver prizes to outstanding performances. The Nghe An Border Guard Cultural and Sports Team was awarded 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and was awarded the A prize as one of the 3 best teams at this Festival.
