Nghe An Border Guard inspects combat readiness at Vietnam - Laos border outpost

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 29 and 30, a working delegation of the Nghe An Border Guard Command led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Linh - Deputy Commander inspected combat readiness and border security at the outpost of My Ly Border Guard Station.

The checkpoint is responsible for ensuring security and order in the border area and protecting forest products in the protective forest from marker 389 to marker 392 of the Vietnam - Laos border. Here, the working delegation inspected, visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the border protection force of Nghe An Border Guard and the border guard force of Company 217, Military Command of Hua Phan province, Laos.

Although stationed in a remote, difficult, and arduous place with many shortages (no electricity, no telephone, far from residential areas), the officers and soldiers of the checkpoint are always determined to complete their mission well, protecting the sacred border sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Sharing the difficulties of the forces performing tasks at the outpost area, the Nghe An Border Guard Command presented a gift worth 11 million VND to officers, soldiers and people on both sides of the Vietnam - Laos border at the outpost area. On this occasion, the Border Guard Command presented 114 Tet gifts worth 57 million VND to the people of Pha Chieng and Nhot Lot villages, My Ly commune, Ky Son district; Pha Khao village, Mai Son commune, Tuong Duong district.
