Nghe An Border Guard: Sponsored 48 students in difficult circumstances

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 27, Lieutenant Colonel Le Nhu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Politics of Nghe An Border Guard Command, said: Implementing the program "Helping children go to school", up to now, the youth of Nghe An Border Guard units have sponsored 48 students with difficult circumstances on the two border and coastal lines.

The program "Helping children go to school" of Nghe An Border Guard was implemented since August 2014 on the basis of taking the Youth Union as the core and mobilizing cadres and party members in the unit to participate, with funds drawn from salary savings, allowances, increased production, and fundraising labor.

Women of the Political Department of the Border Guard of Nghe An cooperated with the sister unit to give bicycles to students in difficult circumstances in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district.

Up to now, 24 units in the Nghe An Border Guard force have registered to sponsor 2 children in difficult circumstances, with the intention of improving their studies, with a support level of 500,000 VND/month/child. From the initial effectiveness of the program "Helping children go to school", the Nghe An Border Guard will continue to mobilize social organizations, businesses, sister units and philanthropists to contribute to create a larger capital fund to expand the program to support students to have better conditions in studying, to become good children, good students, excellent students, and useful citizens for society.
