Nghe An Border Guard visits and presents gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South, on the morning of April 27, the Nghe An Border Guard Command organized a working delegation to visit and present gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers that the Nghe An Border Guard has taken care of in 3 districts and towns: Cua Lo Town, Dien Chau District and Hoang Mai Town.

Representatives of the Nghe An Border Guard Command presented gifts and support money to mother Nguyen Thi Him, born in 1922, in Quynh Lien commune, Hoang Mai town, mother Nguyen Thi Ba, born in 1926, in Dien Trung commune, Dien Chau district and mother Pham Thi Thanh, in Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town. The delegation presented each mother with a gift bag worth 500,000 VND and 1 million VND in cash.

From May 1, 2015, the Nghe An Border Guard Command will allocate funds from the unit's "Repaying gratitude" fund to support the care of 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Nguyen Thi Him, Nguyen Thi Ba and Pham Thi Thanh for the rest of their lives, with a support level of 1 million VND/month for each mother, and at the same time assign Border Guard stations located in the area to regularly visit and take care of the mothers' health, to contribute to encouraging and comforting the mothers to live happily and healthily in the remaining periods of their lives. In order to express gratitude for the mothers' great contributions to the country.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command also visited and presented gifts to retired former commanders who had fought in the battlefields./.
