Closing of the Pacific Angel Program
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, June 18, at Xuan Lam Primary School (Nam Dan District, Nghe An), Nghe An Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Air Division 13 - Pacific Command to organize the Closing Ceremony of the Pacific Angel Program 2012. Attending were Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lieutenant General Paul Selva - Deputy Commander of the US Pacific Air Force, representatives of the US Embassy, officers of units of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, along with representatives of a number of provincial agencies, departments and branches and leaders of Nam Dan district.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai presented a souvenir painting to a representative of the US Pacific Air Force.
After 10 days of implementing the program, with the participation of US and Vietnamese doctors, physicians, engineers, volunteers, Project Hope and East Meets West, the Program has carried out many meaningful activities such as: community medical examination and free medicine distribution for 5,411 people in Xuan Lam and Nam Thanh communes (Nam Dan district); Repairing, upgrading and providing some medical equipment for Xuan Lam commune health station; organizing seminars to exchange expertise in the medical field. In addition to its humanitarian significance, the Program is also an opportunity for US and Vietnamese military and civilian medical staff to exchange and share experiences in expertise and profession, contributing to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the United States.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai thanked the members of the Pacific Angel Program. On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Dai presented a souvenir painting of Vietnam's landscape to representatives of the US Pacific Air Force, East Meets West Organization and Project Hope Organization.
