(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of September 17, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Provincial People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the 3rd Nghe An Province Ethnic Minority Arts Festival - 2014, concluding 2 days of performances with many emotions from the audience and actors.

Attending the closing ceremony of the Program were comrades Giang Seo Phu - Member of the Party Central Committee - Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Luong Quang Kinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee and a large number of ethnic people in the province.

In the past 2 days, nearly 300 actors and artists from 11 troupes from 11 mountainous districts in the province performed more than 50 unique folk songs and dances of the mountainous ethnic groups, imbued with the cultural identity of each region. Many performances with themes praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, country, family and couples were impressively performed. Many melodies and festivals were staged to create great effects such as the New House Celebration (Khơ Mú), the First Thunder Ceremony (Ô Đu), and the Going to the Field Festival (Thổ). On the opening night, 10 performances were selected to respectfully offer to Uncle Ho.

The art performance - cultural exchange of ethnic minorities (organized every 3 years) has received great attention from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, and has directed all levels to implement well in order to honor and preserve ethnic cultural values. This is an opportunity for artisans, cultural and artistic nuclei of ethnic groups to deeply express and convey the intangible cultural values of their ethnic groups through folk songs, folk music, and folk dances to the public. In addition, this is also an opportunity for exchange, learning, and demonstration of solidarity among ethnic groups and localities in the province to contribute to preserving and promoting the culture of each ethnic group.

At the end of the Festival, the Tuong Duong ethnic music team won the first prize, the Quy Chau and Con Cuong teams won the second prize, 3 teams shared the third prize and 5 teams won the consolation prize. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded additional prizes for effective use of traditional musical instruments, the oldest and youngest contestants...

Also on this occasion, the Ethnic Minority Beauty Contest of Nghe An province took place with 21 contestants from 11 mountainous districts and towns.
