Closing ceremony of the Ethnic Minority Sports Festival
(Baonghean) -After 3 days of exciting competition (from April 19 to 21), the 2011 Nghe An Province Ethnic Minority Sports Festival ended successfully.
The new feature of this year's competition is that the number of participating delegations and athletes is larger than in previous years (184 athletes from 12 districts and towns), with a number of excellent athletes participating in many competitions. Before this competition, the mountainous districts organized district-level ethnic sports competitions to select athletes to participate in the provincial competition.
The Nghe An province Ethnic Minority Sports Festival is held every two years. This is a practical activity to implement policies on cultural and sports work among ethnic minorities, promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in the movement "training the body following the example of great Uncle Ho", exploit, develop and preserve ethnic sports, enrich and improve the cultural and spiritual life of ethnic minorities in our province.
The first prize for the whole group belonged to Tuong Duong district, second prize to Quy Hop district, Thanh Chuong ranked third.
