Closing the 15th session - Provincial People's Council term XVI
(Baonghean.vn) - After two and a half days of active, urgent, and serious work with the spirit of innovation, democracy, intelligence, and high responsibility, the 15th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council completed its working program and held its closing session on the morning of December 20.

The meeting focused on assessing the implementation of the 2015 socio-economic development, national defense and security plan, and discussed in groups and in the hall the goals, targets and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2015; and pressing social issues that need to be addressed by all levels and sectors.
The question and answer session of the leaders of 3 sectors: Agriculture and Rural Development; Natural Resources and Environment; Health, was innovated, improved in quality, demonstrating the responsibility and authority of the delegates and the responsibility of the sectors to the voters of the province.
During the session, through the hotline, the Provincial People's Council received 26 calls from voters reflecting opinions and recommendations related to policies for people with meritorious services; granting land use right certificates; compensation, site clearance, resettlement; environmental pollution...
Within the framework of the session, the 16th Provincial People's Council conducted personnel work under the authority of the Provincial People's Council and voted to pass 7 Resolutions on dismissal and election of additional positions under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
The Provincial People's Council also voted to pass 15 important Resolutions on socio-economic, national defense and security issues and the resolution issuance program and supervision program of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council in 2016.

In his closing speech, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: In 2016, the Provincial People's Council determined the general goal: "Continue to implement Resolution No. 26/NQ-T.TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020, Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020. Strongly improve the investment environment, expand foreign relations, mobilize and effectively use resources for development; improve growth quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy; ensure social security and welfare goals, improve people's lives...
Therefore, after this session, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to urgently develop plans and specific solutions, mobilize all resources to effectively implement the Resolutions passed by the Provincial People's Council. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations in the political system are requested to closely coordinate with the People's Council and People's Committees at all levels in all areas of activity.
The Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Delegation Groups and the Provincial People's Council delegates promptly and actively performed their duties as elected representatives, made recommendations and proposed issues of concern to voters, contributing to the excellent completion of the 2016 tasks.
The Provincial People's Council calls on the people, comrades and soldiers of the province's armed forces to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, unite to overcome difficulties, enthusiastically compete in production, practice thrift, fight against bureaucracy, corruption and waste, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of 2016 and creating a premise for the following years.
