Closing Ceremony of the 2023 Nghe An Province Elderly Singing Festival

Attending the closing and awarding ceremony were comrades: Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Cao Dang Vinh - Chairman of the Association of the Elderly; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, provincial units and more than 250 actors of the Art Team of the Association of the Elderly in 21 districts, cities and towns across the province.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, at the 2023 Nghe An Province Elderly Singing Festival, the elderly mass art troupes knew how to exploit the strengths of their localities; invested in and built the program seriously, with a suitable basic structure, and many performances of good quality.

All programs were carried out in accordance with the content of the Regulations set forth by the Organizing Committee. The general tone of the programs was praise for the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, and the country. In particular, the focus was on highlighting the image and example of exemplary Elderly People, who are grandparents who are always optimistic, love life, strive to build their homeland, country, build civilized and happy families, and build the future for the next generation.

This festival also brings together the richness and diversity of performance forms with genres: solo singing, duets, trios, choirs, and accompanying singing and dancing. It is worth noting that the troupes have focused on bringing folk songs, folk dances, and performances with strong regional identities into the program, both creating a unique feature and contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​in today's life.

Despite their old age, the artists, actors, and musicians of all the mass art troupes in the districts still performed enthusiastically, clearly showing their passion and love for mass art activities.

These efforts have created a quite natural and attractive performance style in each performance. In addition, the investment of the Organizing Committee in stage, sound, light, and LED screen has greatly contributed to the effectiveness of the performance stage.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 30 prizes (7 A prize performances and 23 B prize performances) to the winning performances. At the same time, the First Prize was awarded to the Vinh City Senior Citizens Association Mass Art Team and the Thanh Chuong District Senior Citizens Association Mass Art Team; the Second Prize was awarded to the teams of Tan Ky, Tuong Duong, Do Luong, Dien Chau and Yen Thanh districts; the Third Prize was awarded to the remaining teams.

The Vinh City Elderly Association's Mass Art Team was selected to represent Nghe An province to attend the Elderly Singing Festival of the Central provinces to be held in the near future.
