Beckham reveals surprise after Inter Miami successfully recruited Messi
Inter Miami owner David Beckham has just revealed the surprising truth surrounding the team's official acquisition of superstar Lionel Messi.
Messi decided to leave PSG after the 2022/2023 season.
European press reported that the Argentine superstar signed a 3-year contract, with a 1-year extension option, with the team playing in the US Major League Soccer (MLS), receiving a salary of about 50 million Euros/year.
Regarding this deal, former football star David Beckham - co-owner of Inter Miami Club revealed a surprising truth: "A few weeks ago, I woke up and saw about a million messages on my phone. I wondered what had happened, because I don't usually get that many messages.

“All of a sudden, I heard that Messi was free and announced that he was going to Miami. It didn’t really surprise me. I’ve always said that if I had the opportunity to bring the best players to Miami, at any point in their careers, I would do it,” the English football legend said.
Messi's Inter Miami debut date has not yet been set. If the formalities are completed in time, the 36-year-old superstar could make his first appearance for his new team on July 21, when Inter Miami faces Mexico's Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.
