Belarus announces it will use tactical nuclear weapons from Russia
(Baonghean.vn) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that his country will use tactical nuclear weapons in case of aggression, so that "no one can stick their nose in".

At the ceremony of awarding military ranks to senior officers, political scientist Alexander asked the head of state a question, noting that one of the topics of interest to Western experts and analysts was the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. They expressed their belief that Belarus would not be able to use these nuclear weapons in the event of an attack, that control over the weapons would remain with Russia and that only Russia would make these decisions.
The event participants also asked the President to clarify this issue, and to indicate how tactical nuclear weapons would be used in case of an attack on Belarus.
President Lukashenko said that Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces Viktor Gulevich, Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, and KGB Chairman Ivan Startel would use tactical nuclear weapons.
The Belarusian leader stressed that he firmly demanded the deployment of such weapons so that "no one can poke their nose in here".
Along with that, President Lukashenko said, Minsk has received a significant portion of the nuclear weapons that Moscow pledged to deploy.
