In the match between TN TX Thai Hoa and TN Que Phong, with tight but not fierce play, both teams ended the two halves with a score of 1-1 and entered the penalty shootout to determine the winner.

Although TN TX Thai Hoa was rated higher and considered the top candidate for the championship, due to a bit of bad luck, TN TX Thai Hoa lost 3-4 to TN Que Phong. As for TN Que Phong, the players were overwhelmed with happiness when they entered the semi-finals for the first time.

However, not only immersed in joy, the players of Que Phong Youth Team after leaving the field went to shake hands and encourage the players of Thai Hoa Youth Team. This can be seen as an act of fair play, in line with the spirit that the Youth - Children's Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup wants to bring to the young players.

Coming to the Youth - Children's Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup in 2017, there are a total of 29 teams, including 18 children's teams and 11 youth teams from 21 districts and cities in the province. In the children's age group, each team will have 10 players, including 5 main players and 5 reserve players.

This year, NT Tan Ky and ND Hoang Mai made it to the finals of the children's age group. However, instead of having a squad of 10 players like the other 17 teams, ND Tan Ky only had 9 members. Coach of ND Tan Ky Mai said that before going to Vinh to participate in the tournament, a player of the team was disciplined by the disciplinary teacher and was not allowed to compete because he was too naughty.

“In addition to caring and investing in the quality of the players, we also want to teach them discipline,” said Coach Uy.

Having successfully surpassed youth teams from 21 districts and cities in the province, Quynh Luu Youth and Yen Thanh Youth entered the final round taking place on June 15 at Vinh City Stadium. To cheer for their home team, many Quynh Luu fans did not mind the long journey to Vinh City from early morning.

Present in the stands, the parent of player number 9 Nguyen Ngoc Danh, Quynh Luu Youth Team said that when he heard the news that his son's youth team had made it to the semi-finals, at 3am, he and his friends set off from Quynh Thach, Quynh Luu, bringing flags and drums to cheer for the kids.

Not letting down the fans, Quynh Luu Youth Team has successfully defeated Vinh City Youth Team and won a ticket to the final. “This year, Quynh Luu Youth Team is trying its best to defend the Nghe An Newspaper Cup football championship, so fans like us will cheer with all our hearts. We have prepared flags and drums to cheer for the children as well as to show the other team Quynh Luu's strong and passionate love for sports,” said Danh's parent.

The final match between ND Tan Ky and ND Hoang Mai was extremely exciting and fierce with the dribbling moves that made the audience in the stadium excited. With the excellent playing style of both teams, the audience in the stadium continuously encouraged and cheered for the young players.

After missing many goals in the first half, in the second half, the players of ND Hoang Mai opened the score for the match to the joy of the Hoang Mai fans. Immediately, a parent shouted "Come on kids, if you win, come home and have a big party to celebrate!".

I don't know if it was thanks to this very "specific" encouragement or not, but after 50 minutes of intense competition, NĐ Hoàng Mai defeated NĐ Tân Kỳ with a score of 2-1 and became the champion of the Nghe An Newspaper Cup for the first time.
