On the sidelines of the collaborators' conference
(Baonghean.vn)- On the occasion of the 2015 Collaborator Conference, Nghe An Newspaper reporters collected impressive stories on the sidelines of the conference.
sweating
Having prepared in advance, the two reporters Dao Tuan and Nguyen Khoa "kidnapped" Mr. Anh (Mr. Truong Cong Anh - former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department) to conduct a short interview. He did not refuse but said with a serious face: I'll tell you in advance, I don't refuse to be interviewed but what I'm going to say will not be easy to hear, if it can be published then interview, otherwise, forget it!. In the conference hallway, several collaborators spoke up: Then you choose, say something appropriate. His face became even more serious: No such thing, speak frankly. Otherwise, forget it!. Reporters Dao Tuan and Nguyen Khoa "sweat" but still determined to conduct the interview.
Mr. Anh answered exactly as he said. There were compliments, suggestions, and criticisms in about 7 minutes. He praised the newspaper for its many developments and innovations that are attractive to readers; suggested that the newspaper should pay more attention to increasing the provision of knowledge to readers through articles; in the field of Party building, there should be a diverse selection of topics, change the "dishes", increase the critical nature to create appeal, and be truly "constructive"; and criticized, there should be more attention in responding and exchanging when collaborators and readers give comments...
In the end, Mr. Anh said: I said everything. If the next part is too “straightforward”, then cut it. Actually, what Mr. Anh suggested was all correct, and is what Nghe An Newspaper is aiming for. Therefore, the two reporters Dao Tuan and Nguyen Khoa breathed a sigh of relief. “But you made us sweat…”.
Touched by "Admiring Hoang Sa"
Journalist Tran Van Hien (former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper) had a few words to say at the Collaborators' Conference. Having worked as a manager for many years, he discussed in depth the importance of collaborators; shared experiences to create a strong relationship between the editorial office and collaborators. And, he highly appreciated the "professionalism" of Nghe An Newspaper in connecting to create a "news and article bank"; the contributions of collaborators to Nghe An Newspaper in 2014, especially with Professor, Associate Doctor Le Van Cuong, who had many articles and interviews in the newspaper about East Sea issues. Journalist Tran Van Hien himself, during the period when the East Sea was "stormy", represented the Vietnam Journalists Magazine to go to Tien Sa island district to give gifts to naval soldiers, and emotionally wrote the poem "Dam Tam Hoang Sa". Therefore, he "asked" to read it to the conference. The poetic lines “The milestones are faded on the shoulders of the shirts/ The boats are anchored before the enemy’s guns/ Each meter of water is swaying in the storm/ We connect the long and wide shores of 4,000 thousand years…” really created an attraction for the entire audience. When the concluding stanza “No price can be exchanged/ Friendship is a pipe dream, hegemony and cooperation/ The words of the mountains and rivers echo for a thousand years/ The mountains and rivers of the Southern country belong to the Southern Emperor” ended, the entire conference was silent for a few seconds, followed by thunderous applause. Everyone was deeply moved by “Dam Tam Hoang Sa”.
I'm so sad!
Ho Phuong - a special collaborator in Con Cuong district exclaimed like that when he could not attend the Collaborator Conference.
2014 was an "extremely" special year for Ho Phuong. Although he had not worked with Nghe An Newspaper for a long time, Phuong was like a diligent bee, willing to go and search to get news articles and photo collections that were timely and attractive. And then, his diligence was rewarded. Phuong won the First Prize in the 2014 "Golden Moment" Press Photo Contest of Nghe An Newspaper. With that achievement, the Editorial Board of the newspaper specially signed a contract, Phuong became a reporter right after the award ceremony. This information was mentioned by Deputy Editor-in-Chief Tran Van Hung at the Conference and asked Phuong to introduce himself to everyone. However, journalist Thuy Vinh (Head of the Mountainous - Weekend Department, Phuong's direct supervisor) announced "Ho Phuong's child was sick and had to be taken to the hospital, so he asked for permission to be absent". Contacted by phone, although his house is in Khe Bo town (Tuong Duong), Phuong was in Con Cuong district, at Tay Nam General Hospital to treat his child. Phuong choked up: “I was ready to leave. For me, collaborator conferences like this are extremely useful. Not being able to attend makes me… so sad!”
I'm sorry
In 2014, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Mr. Phan Nguyen Hao participated in a number of articles in Nghe An Newspaper. The number of his articles was not many, but they were of high quality on "hot" issues of the country and the province such as the East Sea issue, traffic safety, etc. With those contributions, Nghe An Newspaper invited Mr. Phan Nguyen Hao to attend the Collaborator Conference. A day before the conference, he said: "I am a new soldier, I have not contributed much, so when the newspaper invited me, I felt very honored. I must attend to learn more about writing...". However, he was absent. The reason was that he took the initiative to call and inform: "Unfortunately, I have urgent work. The Provincial People's Committee summoned me to attend an important meeting of the province, I cannot be absent. I am very sorry...".
