Baby Yernar Alibekov, from the city of Astana, northeastern Kazakhstan, was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a form ofrare connective tissue disorder, about a month after birth.A strange disease causes Yernar's skin to sag, according toMirror.
The boy's mother, Zibensa Tulepbergenova, said the procedures were only allowed until the patient was 18, but the management of a local hospital where the family took Yernar for treatment decided to break this rule.

Normally, the Tulepbergenovas would have to wait a few more years for free surgery, but they raised more than $300 to help make their son's life easier.
However, experts are skeptical that surgery can significantly improve Yernar's condition.
"This is a rare disease, affecting only one in 50,000 people. In fact, even with surgery, the baby's skin condition cannot be cured. The only way is to minimize the consequences of the disease and take good care of the baby," said Dr. Olga Loseva.
Ehlers-Dalos syndrome can cause complications such as osteoarthritis, scoliosis, chronic pain, and joint dislocations.
