Vinh Transport Hospital: Celebrating 59 years of Vietnamese Doctors' Day

(Baonghean.vn)- On February 26, Vinh Transport Hospital organized a meeting with generations of medical staff and employees on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day and honored the title of excellent doctor for Master - Specialist Doctor I Pham Van Ty - Deputy Director of the Hospital.

Vinh Transport Hospital is a grade 2 general hospital under the Department of Health, Ministry of Transport, with the task of examining, treating and providing comprehensive health care for the transport sector in the North Central region and local people where the hospital is located. Over the years, with the efforts of the staff, doctors and nurses, Vinh Transport Hospital has performed its duties well. Each year, the hospital examines and treats nearly 60,000 people, performs more than 20,000 dialysis sessions for patients in the region, and performs nearly 30,000 surgeries and procedures of all kinds.

The hospital has done a good job in health care, epidemic prevention, strengthening the grassroots medical network for 51 medical facilities inside and outside the transport sector; actively participating in social work such as medical examination and free medicine for the disabled in neighboring wards and communes; coordinating with the local health sector to participate in flood and storm prevention, epidemic prevention, and environmental purification after floods and storms in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, etc. The hospital's Party Committee achieved the title of Strong and Clean Party Committee and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Minister of Transport.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Health, affirmed the outstanding efforts of the hospital's medical staff in building the hospital, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, applying scientific and technological advances in treatment, successfully performing many high-tech surgeries, etc. At the same time, she hoped that in the coming years, the hospital would continue to implement the project of modernizing equipment, upgrading facilities, training and receiving high-quality human resources to build the hospital into a 200-bed regional hospital, best serving the cadres, workers and employees of the transport sector and local people.

On the occasion of the 59th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, Master - Specialist Doctor I Pham Van Ty, Deputy Director of the Hospital was awarded the title of "Excellent Doctor" by the President. This is the third doctor of the hospital to be honored with this noble title. On behalf of the authority, the leader of the Director of the Department of Transport Health awarded the Certificate and the badge of Excellent Doctor to Doctor Pham Van Ty.
