Nghe An Friendship General Hospital provided free medical examinations and medication to over 300 residents of My Ly commune.
On August 2nd and 3rd, a delegation from Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, led by Dr. Que Anh Tram – Deputy Director, visited My Ly commune to provide free medical examinations and medication to the local people.
The historic floods caused by Typhoon Wipha (Typhoon No. 3) have severely damaged many medical facilities in Nghe An province. The commune health station, in particular, suffered heavy losses.My LyThe area was completely swept away by the raging flood. Under the direction of the Department of Health and the Ky Son Health Center, the My Ly Commune Health Station temporarily borrowed a local resident's house to set up a field health station to provide medical examination and treatment for people in the flood-stricken area.

However, the medical examination and treatment activities at the My Ly Field Health Station faced many difficulties due to cramped facilities, a large number of patients, and a localized shortage of personnel, equipment, and medicine.
In that situation, Ky Son Medical Center and My Ly Field Medical Station sent a request.Nghe An Friendship General HospitalSupport and assistance. With the permission of the Nghe An Department of Health, Nghe An Friendship General Hospital quickly prepared equipment, medicines, and personnel; and called for donations of clothing to give to the people.

The delegation from Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, consisting of 35 people including 5 pharmacists, 17 doctors from all specialties, along with 4 midwives and 4 nurses, brought blood pressure monitors, ultrasound machines, electrocardiographs, blood glucose meters, specialized examination tools, and 40 types of medicine... to directly examine, distribute free medicine, and donate clothes to the people in My Ly commune.
The delegation from Nghe An Friendship General Hospital borrowed the headquarters of My Ly Commune People's Committee to use as a location for examinations and dispensing medicine. Over two days, the delegation provided free examinations and medicine to more than 300 people in the commune.

On this occasion, the delegation also donated 12 stainless steel hospital beds to the My Ly Commune Health Station and an additional 70 bags of clothing for the local people.
