Nghe An Eye Hospital provides free screening and medication for glaucoma patients
Glaucoma is a chronic disease that can lead to blindness due to irreversible damage to the optic nerve if detected late and not treated promptly. Therefore, early detection and treatment of glaucoma is very important to prevent the risk of blindness.
In Vietnam, glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness after cataracts. At Nghe An Eye Hospital, the number of patients with this disease is very high and most patients come to the clinic when the disease is in the late stages, losing almost all of their field of vision (eye field).
