Implementing Project 1816 of the Ministry of Health, since May 2012, the delegation of the Department of Surgery of the Central Endocrinology Hospital has transferred some technical expertise to Nghe An Endocrinology Hospital. With the support and assistance of the Department of Surgery staff, up to now, Nghe An Endocrinology Hospital has received the transfer and successfully performed open thyroid surgery; the surgery time has been shortened, the amount of blood loss during surgery is low, anesthesia and resuscitation techniques, and post-operative care and treatment are all performed well. During the transfer period, Nghe An Endocrinology Hospital examined 1,190 patients with thyroid disease; treated 960 patients medically and performed surgery on 194 people without any complications; initially received high appreciation and satisfaction from patients.
