Nghe An Oncology Hospital uses Robot to diagnose cancer
(Baonghean.vn) - To ensure accuracy in cancer diagnosis, the Oncology Hospital has just put into use the Maxio Robotic Biopsy and CT Scan equipment.
This is a minimally invasive technique. The doctor will use a biopsy needle to cut or aspirate a sample from a suspicious lesion of unknown nature for pathological, bacterial, or genetic diagnosis.
The first patient to undergo a biopsy using this method was Mr. Nguyen Van Ly (51 years old, Nghi Lam commune, Nghi Loc district). Under the guidance of robot-assisted CT scan, after the CT scan, he underwent a lung tumor biopsy and was diagnosed with lung cancer.

This Robotic Biopsy Support Positioning System has the advantage of very high accuracy, so it can perform biopsies in difficult and dangerous locations that were previously impossible to perform without a Robot. Specifically, biopsies of tumors, lymph nodes next to the heart, in the mediastinum, next to large blood vessels, lung tumors, bones, spine and abdominal organs...
Nghe An Oncology Hospital is also one of the few hospitals in the country to use this modern robot./.
