From a small infirmary with 10 simple beds (established in 1964), Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital has now become a grade I provincial hospital with 750 beds. The hospital's infrastructure system is increasingly invested in a synchronous, spacious and modern manner, aiming to provide high-quality medical examination and treatment services, improving patient satisfaction.

At the same time, the hospital has increased investment in modern medical equipment, effectively applied in treatment such as: Multi-function electroacupuncture machine to replace acupuncture; shock wave machine with anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxation and pain relief effects; ultrasound machine, hot and cold heat therapy machine to help relax muscles, reduce inflammation; spinal traction machine; short wave machine; high pressure oxygen machine...

Identifying training and improving the quality of medical staff as a key task, the hospital has regularly organized training courses for doctors and medical staff, and sent them for specialized training at leading universities, hospitals and large institutes. Therefore, the human resources have grown rapidly in both quantity and quality.

From 210 staff (in 2019), of which the university rate accounted for 14.7%, the hospital now has 467 staff, of which the university rate accounts for 75%; of which 22 are PhDs/CKII; 82 are masters/CKI; 251 have university degrees.

The infrastructure foundation along with a team of quality human resources create the premise for the unit to strongly develop specialized cutting-edge techniques, typically: "Treatment of sequelae of paralysis" technique due to cerebrovascular accident, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury; thereby, successfully rehabilitating thousands of patients, helping them live happily and healthily.

In particular, since 2019, the Hospital has deployed the technique of "Interventional Rigid Endoscopy - Sclerotherapy of Hemorrhoids" with PG60 medicine, successfully treating nearly 2,000 people; creating a brand mark of Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital...

Promoting the effectiveness of traditional medicine, in recent years, Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital has focused on investing in a system of machinery serving the production and processing of modern medicinal herbs; creating a closed, synchronous chain according to the process.

Up to now, the Hospital has self-processed over 90% of medicinal herbs and produced nearly 40 medicinal products from medicinal herbs (with a production line with a capacity of 100 kg of medicine/day); promptly meeting the treatment needs of patients in both quantity and quality.

In addition, the hospital focuses on improving the process of reception, examination and treatment, and thoroughly applying information technology to medical examination and treatment stages, moving towards the digitalization of the hospital. Along with that, the hospital focuses on training and improving skills to build a civilized and friendly service style and attitude among the staff; meeting the satisfaction of patients.

With the right policy, the strong leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the solidarity of mass organizations and staff, in recent years, Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital has made a strong change; the quality of professional work and the spirit and attitude in contacting, caring for and treating patients have been improved.
