Nghe An Social Insurance donates social insurance books to people in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 11, Nghe An Social Insurance celebrated the 24th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Social Insurance, launched and organized a donation to give social insurance books to people in difficult circumstances in 2019.

On February 16, 1995, the Government issued Decree No. 19/CP on the establishment of Vietnam Social Security, marking the birth of the system of social security agencies from the central to local levels. On June 15, 1995, the General Director of Vietnam Social Security issued Decision No. 16/TC-CB to establish Nghe An Provincial Social Security.
After being established, Nghe An Social Insurance has been implementing compulsory social insurance, voluntary social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance regimes and policies; organizing the collection and disbursement of unemployment insurance regimes; managing and using social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance funds; conducting specialized inspections of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance payments in the province according to the provisions of law and regulations of Vietnam Social Insurance.
Over the past 24 years, the Social Insurance has resolved for more than 4 million people to enjoy social insurance regimes; nearly 48 people examined and treated with health insurance cards; paid more than 70,000 billion VND to beneficiaries of social insurance regimes, 15,000 billion VND for health insurance examination and treatment. By the end of 2018, the number of people participating in health insurance reached more than 2.6 million people...

Also at the celebration ceremony, Nghe An Social Insurance launched and organized a donation to give social insurance books to people in difficult circumstances in 2019. This is the 4th consecutive year that Nghe An Social Insurance has implemented activities to call for donations and give health insurance cards and social insurance books to help people in difficult circumstances receive health care and reduce difficulties in life./.
