Arrested for blackmailing wife's 'rumored lover'
Suspecting his wife of having an affair, Thanh continuously texted and called to threaten his love rival, even demanding that she pay 200 million VND.
The Criminal Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police has just handed over two suspects: Chau Ha Thanh (born in 1973, residing in Hoc Mon district) and Ngo Phi Hung (born in 1988, residing in Tan Binh district) to District 10 Police to investigate and handle the act of "extortion of property".

According to the initial investigation, because he suspected his wife of having an affair with Mr. D.QT (born in 1974, residing in District 12), Thanh was jealous, continuously called and texted Mr. T to threaten him and demanded that he pay 200 million VND in exchange for peace.
Mr. T on one hand agreed with Thanh, on the other hand reported the incident to the police.
Thanh also invited Hung to join the extortion, promising to share the proceeds fairly. At noon on November 2, Thanh and Hung met Mr. T at the CD coffee shop on Su Van Hanh Street, Ward 13, District 10.
When the two subjects had just received money from Mr. T, detectives from the Criminal Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, suddenly arrived to arrest them and make a record of the crime caught red-handed.
Initially, the two suspects admitted to the above crimes.
The case is being further investigated by District 10 Police.
