"Secret" to easily pass university entrance exam first choice

Important things that the Ministry of Education and Training reminds candidates when registering for admission to universities and colleges in 2015.

From August 1, candidates will begin submitting applications for admission to universities and colleges nationwide. To help candidates prepare thoroughly, avoid mistakes and have the opportunity to be admitted as desired, the Ministry of Education and Training would like to remind candidates of the following points:

1. Preparation before submitting application:

a) Find information on the website of the school you plan to apply for admission to:

- Find accurate information about the subject combinations used for admission to each major and the 2015 enrollment quota for each major (this information is also available in the document "Things to know about college and university enrollment in 2015" posted onwww.moet.gov.vnorwww.thi.moet.edu.vn);

- If the school uses many combinations to consider admission for a major, you must find out the school's regulations on the difference in admission scores between the combinations.

- Find out additional conditions used for admission in case all the admission quotas are filled but in the admission list there are still many candidates with scores equal to the expected admission scores;

- Refer to the admission scores of previous years for the expected major;

- Write down the school's admissions consulting phone number to contact for advice when there are any unclear issues...

b) Based on the score spectrum announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, compare your score with the test scores of other candidates in the same group to choose a school that matches your test results (schools with high, low or average admission scores in previous years).

c) You should choose more than one school and prioritize them so that you can change your preferences in time.

d) After choosing a suitable school, candidates should submit their application immediately to have time to monitor the school's statistical information and promptly adjust their wishes, if necessary.

d) If the candidate lives far from the registration school, he/she must prepare a letter of authorization to withdraw the application to someone who can assist in withdrawing the application when necessary. The authorization form must clearly state the information about the candidate authorized as stated on the registration form and the full name, major, date of birth, address, and ID number of the authorized person.

2. Submit application:

a) Application documents include:

- The application form clearly states: 4 majors of a registered university are ranked in order of priority from 1 to 4 (this form can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education and Training and some other online newspapers);

- Original Certificate of exam results in accordance with the admission round (with red seal of the school hosting the exam cluster) and

- 01 stamped envelope with the candidate's full name and address clearly written on it.

c) How to submit application: Within the prescribed time limit of each admission round, candidates can choose to submit application documents and application fees by post (express delivery, priority delivery) or submit directly to the school.

If sent by post, the date on the postmark of the place where the application is received must be within the application period. All of the above forms of application are equally valid.

d) Application submission period: Round I from August 1 to 20; Round I supplementary admission from August 25 to September 15; Round II supplementary admission from September 20 to October 5; Round III supplementary admission from October 10 to 25 (end of receiving university level application documents); Round IV supplementary admission from October 31 to November 15, 2015 (end of receiving college level application documents).

d) Some other related notes:

- When submitting the application for admission, candidates can request to adjust the priority regime and submit documents proving the priority regime.

- If the application and fee are submitted directly to the school, the candidate will be given a receipt for the admission fee.

- Need to know: For the first round, candidates can only register for 1 school with a maximum of 4 wishes ranked in order of priority for 4 different majors. For additional admission rounds, candidates can use 3 exam result certificates at the same time to apply to 3 different schools, each certificate can also register for 4 wishes.

If not admitted, after the end of each additional admission round, candidates can withdraw their application to submit to the next admission round. Candidates who have been admitted in the previous round are not allowed to participate in the next admission round.

- It is necessary to understand the consideration of 4 wishes in a school as follows: If a candidate has the admission score for many majors, he/she will be considered for the major with the highest priority. Candidates who are not admitted to the first wish will be transferred to the second wish and considered equally with candidates who registered for the first wish in that major and similarly for the third and fourth wishes.

In the 4 wishes, candidates can register for both university and college at the same time (if the school offers college training).

3. After submitting application:

a) Regularly monitor the list of candidates who have registered for admission to the school so that they can withdraw their applications to another school (if necessary) during the first round of admission (Admission regulations stipulate that at least once every 3 days, schools will publish on their websites the list of candidates who have registered for admission to the school by major and rank the exam results from high to low to help candidates judge their chances of being admitted).

b) In case of withdrawing application to transfer to another school, candidates can choose to come to the school to withdraw directly or authorize in writing a relative to come to the school to withdraw application.

c) If you are on the admission list, you will not be allowed to register for the following rounds and should prepare your admission documents according to the school's regulations./.
