Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies attended the Great Unity Day in Hung Nguyen

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 12, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc joined in the Great Unity Day at Hamlet 16, Hung Thang Commune, Hung Nguyen District.

At the festival, delegates and people in hamlet 16, Hung Thang commune, Hung Nguyen district reviewed the tradition of the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front and evaluated the results achieved in 2017 in the locality.

Hamlet 16, Hung Thang Commune is a purely agricultural hamlet, with 222 households and 840 people living together. Last year, the hamlet's Front Committee coordinated with organizations and people in the hamlet to effectively implement the proposed work program, contributing to socio-economic development.

In 2017, implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the people of the hamlet united together to compete in economic development, escape poverty, strive to become rich legitimately and build new rural areas.

In 2017, the average income per capita of the hamlet was 34 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate decreased to 7 households; 100% of children of school age went to school; the whole hamlet had 196 households achieving the title of cultural family, reaching a rate of 88.3%.

Talking to the people of hamlet 16, Hung Thang commune, Hung Nguyen district, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong expressed her excitement at the results that hamlet 16 has achieved in the past time, and at the same time hoped that the people in the hamlet would continue to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, strengthen solidarity in residential areas, build many typical models in all areas of social life, create social consensus to help each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies emphasized that although Hung Thang was recognized as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2016, the people of Hamlet 16 and the entire commune need to continue to make efforts to improve quality and ensure sustainable new rural criteria.

The locality also needs to implement the grassroots democracy regulations and community covenants, mobilize everyone and every household in the residential area to say no to dirty food; prevent crimes and social evils; build a mass movement to protect national security; continue to maintain and improve the quality of cultural life, etc.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong planted a souvenir tree and presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee worth 3 million VND to the people of Hamlet 16, and gifts to 10 poor households, each gift worth 500,000 VND./.
