Secretary Re in Huoi Son.
(Baonghean)- Senior Lieutenant Vu Ba Re is a son of the Mong ethnic group and has been trusted by the commanding committee of Border Guard Station 551 and the people for many years. He is currently the Party cell secretary of Huoi Son village, Tam Hop commune (Tuong Duong).
Vu Ba Re is a border guard officer who has temporarily come to live in the only village party cell, holding the position of village secretary. It is difficult to describe all the difficulties when Senior Lieutenant Vu Ba Re took on this new position. Huoi Son village has 100% Mong people living there. Along with the difficulties due to unfavorable natural conditions and low educational level, the situation of order, security and politics was quite complicated in the past. The task of the reinforced officer Vu Ba Re therefore became even more difficult.
In addition to closely following the Party's policies and guidelines to fulfill the duties of a Party official, he must find every way to contribute to changing the awareness and actions of the officials and people here. As a son of the Mong ethnic group, he understands the customs and practices of the people, so it is very convenient for him to go deep and closely with the masses, grasp their aspirations by listening to their opinions directly. In order to be able to build and implement the Party cell's resolution in line with the situation, he was present at 47/47 households in the village with the motto "4 together". From there, he proactively proposed plans to help the people of Hoi Son carry out the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and protect social order and security at the border.

The exemplary secretary, wearing a green military uniform, has become a typical example for the cadres and people of Huoi Son village to learn and follow. With him, the working style and manner of the village cadres have been consolidated and put into order, and there are no longer any complaints or internal disunity like in previous years. The people in the village feel secure in their work and production.
From the difficult reality in the area, Vu Ba Re has been struggling to find ways to develop the economy and reduce poverty for the villagers. Previously, people were used to farming on high ground, so they mobilized people to reclaim land and grow rice in two crops, so that people would not destroy the forest. With financial support from the Provincial Border Guard Youth Union, they supported two families, Xong Va Cu and Vu Giong Chua, to borrow 10 million VND to buy buffalo and cow breeds to develop the economy. From these pilot families, Vu Ba Re has promoted and mobilized households in the village to actively follow suit. Currently, the Party cell and the village management board are mobilizing people to effectively promote the models of fish ponds, vegetable gardens, taro, black pigs, ginger and squash. The success of economic models is the driving force to encourage cadres and party members in Huoi Son to continue developing household economic models.
Secretary Vu Ba Re directed the village cadres to first of all work directly and set an example for the people. This is one of the criteria to evaluate the completion of the emulation plan in the village. The village elders, village chiefs, and village leaders have tried their best to implement this action program well.
The garden, pond and barn farm is located right at the beginning of the village, managed by Secretary Re. Every day, after work, Secretary Re and his colleagues in the Hoi Son working group bring plows and hoes to the fields to develop crop varieties suitable for the soil in Hoi Son. It is Vu Ba Re's specific and in-depth work that has nurtured the seeds of hunger eradication and poverty reduction for the people of Hoi Son village!
