Provincial Party Secretary: Investment attraction projects must ensure the environment

(Baonghean.vn) - The province carefully considers investment projects to both bring economic efficiency and ensure the environment. This is the affirmation of delegate Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province to Hoang Mai voters.

After listening to Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi report on the results of the 3rd session of the 14th National Assembly, voters expressed their high agreement with the results of the session and raised their opinions and recommendations.

Voter Nguyen The Ky, village 1, Quynh Loc commune, reported that in 2014, the construction of a rescue road passed through his family's land and he was persuaded to hand over the land for the road first and receive compensation later. However, to date, Mr. Ky's family has not received compensation. This voter requested that the money be disbursed to the family.

Also related to compensation for site clearance, voter Tran Van Dung, hamlet 6 said that in order to build Hoang Mai Industrial Park, from 2009 until now, people have not received compensation or site clearance money.

"We want to know which agency will resolve and when will respond to the people's legitimate and legal rights" - voter Dung expressed.

Regarding the issue of compensation for the rescue road project, the land of voter Ky's family has not been compensated, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh assigned the representative of Hoang Mai town's leadership to answer specifically.

Accordingly, Mr. To Huy Hung - Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai Town People's Committee explained the reason for the delay and said that currently the Town People's Committee is focusing on completing compensation and site clearance procedures according to regulations.

Regarding some opinions related to land recovery of Hoang Mai Industrial Park and Nghi Son Cement, Mr. Hung said he accepted the opinions and suggested that voters submit specific petitions to the town for response and resolution if appropriate.

At the meeting with voters, many voters' opinions related to the settlement of policies for families and people with revolutionary contributions were also answered by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh on behalf of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Responding to voters' petitions, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that commune authorities must dialogue with people every six months to promptly grasp and resolve people's petitions within their authority.

The Provincial Party Secretary also said that in fact, recently many issues and recommendations from voters have been resolved and have been compiled by the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

“In the spirit of listening and accepting, the issues that voters have legitimate suggestions will be resolved by the provincial National Assembly delegation; and for issues that voters do not understand, we will answer them in a way that voters understand” - the Provincial Party Secretary discussed with voters.

Regarding the voters' recommendations, delegate Nguyen Dac Vinh gave specific answers. Regarding the compensation for land clearance to expand National Highway 1A proposed by some voters, the Provincial Party Secretary said that after receiving the voters' feedback, the province has directed the implementation and has basically completed the classification of affected subjects.

The province will transfer the classification to the town for settlement. The province has sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Transport as well as considering other options such as land exchange... to have resources to pay for site clearance.

Regarding the proposal of voters of Quynh Lap commune on the progress of projects in the area, delegate Nguyen Dac Vinh said: There is the Quynh Lap 1 thermal power project invested by the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and the Quynh Lap 2 thermal power project invested by the Posco Group, Korea. There are many projects of interest in the port area.

However, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the province's viewpoint is to carefully consider each project, and must have modern technology to ensure economic efficiency while ensuring the environment, creating jobs, and improving people's lives.

“The province does not put environmentally polluting projects in Quynh Lap. The government is very concerned about people's lives, not indifferent” - the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

Closing the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that the locality gather voters' opinions, especially on issues related to site clearance, uncompensated land for the Hoang Mai Industrial Park project, and unissued red books related to the relocation of the Nghi Son Cement Factory 21 years ago, in order to classify and resolve them specifically at each level.

On this occasion, provincial National Assembly delegates also presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged policy families in the area.
