(Baonghean.vn) - On February 8, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented Tet gifts to individuals and units in Anh Son district. Accompanying him were comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Provincial Police; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and a number of private units.

To pay tribute and commemorate the generations of ancestors who died for the country's peace and independence, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs' Cemetery and presented gifts to the Cemetery Management Board. On the same day, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the District Military Command, the District Police, and Border Guard Station 557 in Phuc Son Commune. At the same time, the delegation visited and presented gifts to those who had contributed to the revolution and to families in difficult circumstances.

In Tuong Son commune, the delegation visited and wished a happy new year and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Ba Hue - a 4/4 war invalid and Mrs. Dang Thi Em, 103 years old, mother of a martyr. In Hung Son commune, the delegation started building a house of gratitude for Mr. Chu Dang Du's family (donated by the Lottery Company) and presented gifts to two other households also in particularly difficult circumstances. In Long Son commune, the delegation presented 100 gifts (registered by TH Milk Company) to 100 poor households. In Phuc Son commune, 40 gifts (registered by Tien Phong Newspaper) were presented.
Comrade Ho Duc Phoc emphasized the role of Party committees and authorities at all levels in caring for cadres, soldiers and people during the days before the traditional national New Year. In particular, there should be attention and support for those who have contributed to the revolution, households in difficult circumstances and forces contributing to ensuring security, order, national defense and maintaining peace in border areas. Remembering the source of water, loving and respecting the contributions and sacrifices of the armed forces are good traditions and also the common duty of the whole society.
