Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy attends the opening ceremony at Huynh Thuc Khang High School

On the morning of September 5, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Vinh city.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training; leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - Provincial People's Council, Vinh City and the Board of Directors, teachers and students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School.

Before the opening ceremony, provincial leaders, the Board of Directors of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, teachers and students held a flower offering ceremony at the statue of Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang.

At the Opening Ceremony, nearly 2,800 students of the school listened to teacher Phan Xuan Phan - Party Cell Secretary, Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School read the letter from General Secretary and President To Lam to the Education sector on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025.

Joining in the jubilant atmosphere of teachers and students across the country welcoming the new school year, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy beat the drum to open the school year and presented flowers from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to the school.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 8 teachers of Huynh Thuc Khang High School.

Huynh Thuc Khang High School is the school with the longest history in Nghe An with 104 years of establishment and development; its predecessors are Vinh National School (established in 1920) and Huynh Thuc Khang Specialized School (established in 1947).

This is a school famous for its tradition of good teaching and good learning; it is one of the cradles that has trained many talented people for the country. Huynh Thuc Khang High School currently has 61 classes, a total of 2,798 students, of which more than 1,100 are in grade 10.

The quality of 10th grade entrance exams in recent years has always been at the top of the non-specialized high school sector in the province. The school's academic performance and conduct are ranked as good and excellent over 95% of the year; the provincial excellent student exams and science and technology innovation competitions are among the top in the province; the annual university and college entrance exam passing rate is over 97%.

The school's students are active and creative in their activities: Many teams and groups have been established; clubs have organized many useful playgrounds for students to develop their talents and strengths.

The school has a team of staff and teachers with solid professional capacity and dedication, 100% of whom are qualified; of which 70% are above standard, including 2 PhDs and 71 Masters. Many teachers are the core professionals of the Education and Training sector in specialized fields.

With its long tradition and achievements in recent times, Huynh Thuc Khang High School is recognized as the leading unit in the non-specialized high school sector of the province.

The school has been awarded many Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags by the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Provincial People's Committee. The school was awarded the Labor Medal, the Independence Medal by the State, and especially the first high school in Nghe An to be awarded the title of Labor Hero.
