Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh: 'Internal affairs must first ensure internal political security'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 21, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, the June 2016 Internal Affairs Conference was held.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of departments and branches under the Internal Affairs sector.

Conference overview.

In June, political, cultural, economic activities, international delegations, and high-ranking leaders of the Party and State visiting and working in Nghe An were ensured; the police, military, and border guard forces strictly maintained a combat readiness regime, proactively coordinated to forecast and grasp the situation, and focused on effectively implementing security work in key areas and fields.

Investigation, prosecution, trial and enforcement of civil judgments have had positive changes; inspection and examination work has been implemented synchronously, timely detection and recommendations for handling have been made, and the results of handling complaints and denunciations under its authority have achieved a high rate.

Regarding drug crimes, during the month, 119 cases were discovered and 138 subjects were arrested, 18.2 kg of heroin, 2,161 synthetic drug pills, 380 grams of crystal meth, 3 kg of opium were seized. 134 cases of economic and environmental law violations were discovered and arrested, 104 m3 of various types of wood, 30 tons of animals, food of unknown origin, violations of food hygiene and safety, and many smuggled goods worth about 2.63 billion VND were seized.

During the month, there were 5 forest fires in Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Dien Chau, and Do Luong districts. The functional forces coordinated with local authorities and people to promptly extinguish the fires.

Recently, Nghe An has mobilized maximum forces, coordinated with functional agencies to search and rescue 2 pilots and SU-30MK aircraft of Regiment 923, Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force Service that crashed in Nghe An waters.

At the conference, representatives of departments and branches in the internal affairs sector focused on discussing and pointing out shortcomings and limitations and proposing solutions to continue synchronous and effective implementation in all aspects of work in each sector and field in July.

The key task in July is for the sectors in the bloc to coordinate well in performing their professional tasks and common tasks, especially in summarizing the first 6 months of the year, orienting tasks for the last 6 months of 2016, and implementing well the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee related to ensuring security and order in the whole province.
