(Baonghean.vn) - Being chased by people, the group of dog thieves ran towards the Con River bank, abandoned 2 motorbikes, 4 dogs and their tools and escaped.

On November 19, Mr. Tran Van Son - Head of Nghia Binh Commune Police, Tan Ky District, said that local people and forces had just arrested a dog thief in the area. The seized evidence was 2 motorbikes, 4 dogs, and a set of tools. However, the group of suspects escaped.

Earlier, at around 4am on November 19, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ma, a resident of Hamlet 2, Nghia Binh Commune, woke up and discovered a group of three young men had jumped into her yard and taken her dogs. She quickly shouted to let everyone know.

When discovered, the group of thieves got on their motorbikes and sped away. Immediately, a group of police from Nghia Binh commune and local people organized a chase and intercepted the suspects at many intersections.

Being chased, the group of dog thieves on two motorbikes accelerated and drove about 3 kilometers to Hamlet 6, Nghia Binh Commune. Seeing someone waiting for them, they continued to turn their motorbikes back to Hamlet 4 and then rushed straight to the field next to the Con River, which separates Nghia Binh and Nghia Dong Communes. With nowhere to run, the dog thieves abandoned two Wave motorbikes with fake license plates, 4 dogs, and an electric generator and quickly escaped.

Currently, the police are focusing on verifying the origin of the two motorbikes and searching for the above mentioned group of thieves.
