Nghe An Border Guard: Successfully rescued a fishing boat and 4 crew members
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of November 21, 2013, while on the way to fishing, the boat of Mr. Truong Nhu Hong, born in 1976, in Hai Trung block, Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, was hit by waves and had its bow broken. Upon receiving the news, the force of the 2nd Fleet of the Nghe An Border Guard promptly mobilized forces to rescue 4 crew members and tow the damaged boat safely to shore.
The ship in distress, numbered NA 0263TS, owned by Mr. Truong Nhu Hong, was accompanied by 4 crew members, all from Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town, on their way to fish, 2 nautical miles east of Ngu Island, when they encountered bad weather, big waves and strong winds that broke the bow of the ship. Although the crew tried to fix it, the water was rushing in too quickly and the ship was in danger of sinking.
The ship owner immediately called for help. Upon receiving the news, the Nghe An Border Guard Squadron 2 mobilized the BP 061301 ship with 10 crew members, commanded by Captain Phan Nhat Thanh, Deputy Squadron Commander, to launch a rescue operation.
After many hours of struggling with the wind and waves, by 10 o'clock the same day, the border guards had successfully rescued 4 crew members and towed the wrecked ship safely to shore.

Immediately after reaching shore and receiving dedicated care, the crew members' health stabilized and the rescue team completed the procedures to hand over the vehicle to their families for repairs.
