Bill Gates wins the title of world's richest person for the 16th time
According to Forbes magazine, billionaire Bill Gates is the richest person in the world. This is the 16th time he has held this position in the past 21 years.
The Microsoft co-founder's fortune increased by $3.2 billion last year, to $79.2 billion, not counting a $1.5 billion donation of Microsoft stock to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in November.

Mexican telecommunications tycoon Carlos Slim is the second richest person in the world with a fortune of $77.1 billion. American billionaire investor Warren Buffett is third with a fortune of $72.7 billion.
