Fire extinguisher exploded, young man died on the spot

While pumping gas into the fire extinguisher, the tank suddenly exploded, causing Mr. Duy to collapse and die on the spot.

The victim was identified as Phan Van Duy (born in 1993). The incident occurred at 11:00 a.m. today (October 11) at the victim's rented room selling fire extinguishers in alley 346, Quang Trung Street (Tang Nhon Phu Ward, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City).

As of 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force of District 9 is still coordinating with professional units to investigate the cause of the fire extinguisher explosion that killed one person.

Earlier, around 11am, hearing a loud explosion coming from Duy’s room, people rushed to the scene and found the victim lying motionless with multiple injuries. The victim was quickly given first aid but did not survive.
